While compiling this NetBet review, we were quick to find that the UK-based bookie keeps its cards quite close to its chest. Some bookmakers are happy to provide details about their history, ethos, and services, whereas NetBet prefers a much more minimalist approach.

The good news with regards to this is that the site isn’t cluttered, making for a quick and straightforward betting experience. Even so, does it have competitive odds? What’s the welcome offer like? And, is it a trustworthy bookmaker? That’s what we’re here for, so let’s get started…

£30 in Free Bets and Free Spins With NetBet

You’ll find that most bookmakers are forthcoming with promoting their welcome offers, so finding NetBet’s was a sinch. At the time of writing, it’s currently offering up to £30 in free bets and free spins for new customers.

We strongly advise that you take advantage of this offer before you shoot off and get a footie bet placed. The reason for this is that once you’ve registered and claimed the promotional welcome offer, NetBet will count your first bet as the qualifying bet for the bonus. If you don’t meet the qualifying conditions, you won’t be able to get the bonus back.

Follow these steps to make sure you do the NetBet sign-up offer correctly:

Netbet

1. Register an account with NetBet
2. Deposit £30 via your chosen banking method
3. Place your bet(s) as singles are at least two-folds and wait for them to settle
4. You’ll then receive 3 x £5 free bets, 50 free spins worth £10, and 25 free spins worth £5

NetBet Welcome Offer Terms and Conditions

  • UK and new customers only
  • Cashed out bets don’t qualify
  • Must place qualifying bet within 7 days of opening account
  • Free bets to be used on an accumulator of at least two legs
  • Free bets valid for 3 days
  • Maximum of three £5 bets per account
  • 40 times wagering requirement for casino free spins
  • 50 times wagering requirement for vegas free spins
  • No wagering on sportsbook free bets
  • No minimum odds requirement for sports bets
  • Deposits via Neteller, PayPal and Skrill won’t qualify
  • Only one bonus per customer, household, shared computer or IP address
  • Deposit method, withdrawal restrictions and full T&C’s apply #ad

What Other Football Promotions Does NetBet Offer?

We’re always on the hunt for other worthwhile offers here at Premier League Press, so we’re disappointed that the only one related to UK football betting is the Bet Maker.

While this isn’t an offer, per se, it does give you the chance to place more than one line in a multiple bet on the same event, which we know is usually a hurdle for many of you. So, if you want to Back Liverpool to win, with O2.5 and BTS on the same event, you can now do so, as well as mixing in other sports and markets.

Is NetBet Safe to Use?

We take your safety and security very seriously, and so should you. With this in mind, we always hunt down certain features of the best UK football betting sites. More specifically, we’ve focused on the following for NetBet:

  • Legal situation
  • Site security measures
  • Does it promote responsible gaming?
  • What fines has NetBet received?
  • Has the bookie won any awards?

NetBet is Adequately Registered for Football Betting Services in the UK

It came as no surprise to us that NetBet’s gaming licence is active and valid, as confirmed by the UK Gambling Commission, which is at the forefront of promoting legal and safe iGaming on our shores. In addition to this, NetBet is registered and licensed in Malta, which is the world’s gaming capital of the world.

For you, this is peace of mind that NetBet is serious about its online betting services, so there’s nothing of concern here.

How Safe is NetBet’s Website?

Although it isn’t a requirement, many of the top online UK bookmakers display their site security measures, but we had to do a little digging to find NetBet’s. We can confirm, though, that it uses an SSL certificate to ensure that any information sent to the website from your computer—such as your banking and personal information—is heavily encrypted.

NetBet’s Approach to Responsible Gaming Support

It was straightforward to find the responsible gaming section in the FAQs, where NetBet duly informed us of everything you can do to protect yourself and others around you while gaming online through its services.

We did get a positive vibe from this information, which reassured us that NetBet does care about its customer base. Even though it’s still a relatively new bookie—established in 2001—that’s no reason for it to scrimp on offering support.

You’ll find the usual facilities in place, such as:

  • Session timers—automatically logs your account off when the countdown ends
  • Time out options—24 hours, 48 hours, 7 days or 30 days
  • Self-exclusion—6-month minimum, during which you can’t log in to your account

You’re also encouraged to get in touch with major gaming support entities if you feel you need further help:

  • GamCare
  • GAMSTOP
  • Be Gamble Aware
  • Gambling Therapy

Information on NetBet Fines and Awards

We’re pleased to report that NetBet has never been fined by the UKGC or any other entity, to our knowledge. This isn’t surprising since it hasn’t been around the industry too long, and it can easily use the betting giants’ mistakes to avoid these. There are some disgruntled punters who haven’t had bets paid out due to fine terms and conditions, but this is common, and some were even resolved.

On the flip side, NetBet won the European Sports Betting Operator of the Year in 2016, courtesy of CEEGA—Central and Eastern European Gaming Awards. It might not be the Oscars of iGaming, but a CEEGA award is still a positive thing for both NetBet and you.

Depositing Into Your NetBet Account

NetBet’s site continues to be easy to use when it comes to depositing:

1. Log into your account
2. Click the cashier button
3. You should see all available deposit options—more on this below
4. Choose your preferred method, and enter the necessary information, including the amount.

NetBet Deposit Methods

At the time of writing, you can use the following banking methods in the UK at NetBet:

  • VISA
  • Mastercard
  • PayPal
  • Skrill
  • Neteller
  • AstroPay
  • Bankwire
  • Paysafecard
  • Trustly
  • Wire Transfer
  • Web Money
  • Boku
  • Fast Bank Transfer
  • Google Pay

That’s a decent list, but the list on NetBet’s site doesn’t mention Neteller, PayPal and Skrill. There’s some slight confusion here, especially since the welcome offer mentions explicitly that you can’t claim it if you deposit using any of those three methods.

We got in touch with customer services via WhatsApp, and they confirmed that these options are available.

Instant Deposits at NetBet

As with all of the top football betting sites that we review, your funds will be deposited instantly from NetBet’s side, with the exceptions being:

  • Trustly—between 2 minutes and 24 hours, depending on your bank
  • Fast Bank Transfer—1 to 14 working days

Any further exception to this could be due to either:

  • Identity verification
  • Bank fraud prevention

The majority of bookies will ask you to complete a “Know Your Customer” process, which is essentially you confirming your ID via something official, such as a driving licence or passport.

Also, you may get a call from your bank to confirm your deposit with NetBet. This is purely to avoid fraud; however, some banks may block you from using a betting site altogether, so watch out for this. You can prevent this by going for some of the alternative banking methods, such as Skrill, Neteller or PayPal.

NetBet Deposit Limits

We’re advised of the following current deposit limits at NetBet:

Payment MethodMinimum (£)Maximum (£)
Visa10900
Mastercard10900
PayPalUnknownUnknown
NetellerUnknownUnknown
SkrillUnknownUnknown
Paysafecard10250
Bank TransferN/AN/A
Trustly105,000
Web Money101,000
AstroPay10900
Google Pay1010,000
Fast Bank Transfer1010,000
Boku105,000

Note that the above limits may vary depending on your account status with NetBet. We’ll also update the information for PayPal, Skrill, and Neteller when NetBet confirms it with us.

How to Withdraw From NetBet

Withdrawing from NetBet is as simple as logging into your account, heading to the cashier—just as you did with depositing—and selecting the withdrawal option. Choose your withdrawal method and amount and enter all the necessary information.

Note that you can only withdraw via the below methods if you’ve already deposited via that method.

NetBet Withdrawal Methods

At the time of writing, these are the current NetBet withdrawal methods:

  • VISA
  • Mastercard
  • PayPal
  • Skrill
  • Neteller
  • Wire Transfer
  • Bitcoin
  • Trustly
  • Google Pay

It’s interesting to see some missing banking methods from the deposit list, such as Paysafecard. Note that PayPal is listed on the site for withdrawals, even though it isn’t for deposits. Very confusing!

Of further note is the inclusion of Bitcoin in there, which is great to see and forward-thinking of NetBet.

NetBet Withdrawal Times

The current NetBet withdrawal times are:

  • VISA: 4 to 8 days
  • Mastercard: 4 to 8 days
  • PayPal: Instant
  • Skrill: Unknown
  • Neteller: Unknown
  • Wire Transfer: 4 to 12 days
  • Bitcoin: 2 to 4 days
  • Trustly: 4 to 12 days
  • Google Pay: 2 to 4 days

Of no surprise is that PayPal withdrawals are instant. With it being the safest banking method for UK football betting, it’s no wonder so many bettors prefer to use it.

Besides, although Bitcoin is shown as 2 to 4 days, this is a NetBet processing time rather than a delay between the peers in the network. Since there’s no central governance with cryptocurrencies using blockchain, the transfer is instant.

NetBet Withdrawal Charges and Limits

NetBet is one of the few bookmakers that charge a fee for withdrawals, which we view somewhat dimly. This is avoidable, though, by withdrawing less than £500, which is free. If you withdraw more than that, you’ll be made aware of the charge at the cashier screen, which is 1.5% for any amount over £500, no matter the banking method.

While withdrawal limits will vary between customers, and the maximum withdrawal limit per month is £100,000, these are the standard withdrawal limits at NetBet:

Payment MethodMinimum (£)Maximum (£)

Premier League Betting With NetBet

So far in this NetBet review, we’ve had some positivity but mixed signals, so let’s hope the sportsbook experience tips the scales in its favour.

The main sportsbook screen is definitely clear and concise, with a dedicated Premier League button in the side menu—lovely. The Premier League events loaded super fast, although the default odds are in the American format, which is very bizarre, so be sure to change the default odds view to either Fractional or Decimal in your account settings.

Liverpool is playing West Ham soon so we jumped into those markets to see what the interface is like, and were pleased with the result. Everything loads swiftly and the market layouts are ever so simple. This transfers to the bet slip, too, although we’d like to see the multiples section open automatically.

Overall, a very promising betting experience!

NetBet Football Odds and Markets

It’s great to be able to get a bet on quickly, but is that worth anything if it doesn’t have competitive Premier League odds? Not really! Even so, we managed to find better odds for some event selections than the likes of bet365, William Hill and 888Sport, which is very encouraging.

Also, NetBet had many more markets on offer than some of the best football betting sites, which is excellent news if you want to fight some better prices elsewhere.

Can You Bet In-Play at Netbet?

Yes, you most certainly can. As with pre-match betting, the in-play betting experience was also positive, with a handy red and green graphic showing which way odds are moving.

We dove a bit deeper to check out some in-play stats, which popped out a new window with a confusing layout. It took some time to get our heads around the layout, but the information was useful, with some helpful head-to-head narratives. It would be better if the main markets stayed with the stats above it, but we can’t have it all.

NetBet Mobile Betting

The mobile site didn’t have a direct line to the Premier League, but we still found it quick to get into the markets and get bets placed. The website, in general, was very responsive and straightforward to use, as per the desktop.

Mobile odds moved at the same time as the desktop site, which is great news if you’re a mobile bettor. All the events and markets are there, too.

NetBet App Information

Netbet welcome offer no depositNetbet

Currently, NetBet has only developed an app for Android users. Sorry, Apple fans…

We’d definitely like to see an iOS soon, please, although we’re pleased to report that the Android version is simple to log into and use, which is, again, a positive for mobile bettors.

Is There NetBet Live Streaming?

NetBet does offer live streaming through its NetBet TV service for some football events, but not for the Premier League. It mainly focuses on Champions League, La Liga and Europa League qualifiers. We believe you need to have at least £1 in your account to access this, or a bet on the event.

Is There a Cash-Out Feature?

Yep, you can cash out your bets, either on the desktop site, mobile site or through the app, by simply logging into your account, going to your bets, and seeing which ones have cash out available. You can cash out the total amount or use the slider to take a slice of the winnings early.

Cash out is a great feature, especially if you placed a tentative acca and it’s looking good, so this is a positive for us.

The NetBetBet VIP Programme

We’re pleased to say that NetBet does have a VIP club, yes, but we’re not told what you need to do to qualify. Instead, you’re encouraged to email them at vip@netbet.com if you feel you deserve a slice of the pie.

What we do know is that some of the rewards include:

  • Special promotions
  • Sporting event tickets
  • VIP account manager
  • Unique cash out offers
  • Better withdrawal options
  • Custom stakes
  • Request-a-bet feature

NetBet Customer Service Information

You can get in touch with NetBet through the following means:

  • WhatsApp: +44 7510 35245 — 9am to 1am
  • Tel: +44 208 092 9427
  • Live Chat: 9 am to 11 pm
  • Web Form

We contacted them via WhatsApp well before the 1 am cut-off, but didn’t receive a response. In addition, live chat wasn’t online at 10 pm when we wanted to ask for their assistance on something.

There’s definite room for improvement there, although the help centre and FAQs are somewhat detailed in answering some standard queries. It’s also really positive to see a WhatsApp contact option; if only it were staffed.

NetBet Review — What’s the Verdict for UK Football Betting?

While we can’t get that sour withdrawal fee taste out of our mouths, at least it’s easy to avoid. We were surprised to see some holes in the payment method area of the site, but then it’s not an uncommon issue across many bookies.

We really did like the sportsbook layout and betting experience, though. This combined well with the competitive odds and depth of markets—it’s good to see a top football betting site competing on these fronts while not trying to make the sportsbook too complicated.

If you want a simple betting experience without any issues, then NetBet is a good choice. While we’d like to see some improvements—especially with the deposit information—we’re still more than happy for this to be a positive NetBet review, so be sure to check out the NetBet sign-up offer as soon as you’re ready.
